New Year

With 2009 looming hours away I can't help but think of all the great things that our family has been blessed with in 2008-namely our sweet little Natalie. We expect 2009 to be a great one with a new cousin (Shane and Karen) to be born in April.  We may have losses too, but are excited for another year to start. The same old resolutions to be made such as for me lose weight, be a great mom and spend memorable moments with loved ones. I'd love for my house to be clean or I'd settle for tidy, even picked up-everything does have a place you know. Well with that have a great New Year.

christmas hangover...

So all month long we shop, eat, shop, eat and in a few short hours we are piled in mounds of paper and we eat like we've never eaten before! Here are a few highlights of Christmas which was held at our house in the morning. Natalie woke up early she must have known Santa was coming and that mom and dad had to get up early, they have mommy radar I swear.  Brinley woke up after everyone was here, she asked why Santa hadn't eaten the cookies. We answered did you look? NO, she said. So we looked and he had eaten all the cookies and drank all the milk and the reindeer left a little something on our walk way...poop! (well maybe they were chocolate covered marshmellows.) Santa also left a note. Natalie got this Bumbo chair from my dad so she can be in the middle of everything I think she likes it! Brinley mainly wanted a my little pony amusement park and a camera. The girls do quite well! We had a nice breakfast and hung around for awhile and then went to Soren's folks house for dinner.

Brinley playing with the gingerbread cookie nativity complete with coconut snow.

Christmas morning chaos! Note our obsessive compulsive daughter more interested in  her hangnail then her presents!

We hope everyone had a great christmas and a great New Year!

pregnant...

I know it's summer and its suppose to be hot and I should love it after the winter we had but honestly I can't wait for fall. I'm tired, cranky, swollen and ready to have this baby. I don't know if it's better to count down the weeks or months left. Bring on Sept. 20th (or sooner)
